Matt Schickele's music has been performed by the Da Capo Chamber Players, the St. Luke's Chamber Ensemble, the Woodstock Chamber Orchestra, and the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, among others. He is currently developing a chamber opera, Marymere, which tells the tragic story of one of the early settlers of Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
